I have been using this absolutely beautiful space

I have been using this absolutely beautiful space on a day rate to write, record and dream new projects by the log fire and stunning garden at The Beacon.
They are now opening to fellow creatives during their winter down time at this beautiful cabin.
Located in The Beacon gardens on the West Hill, this is an absolute treasure of a place and so inspiring for any writers/musicians/dreamers and schemers.
Book in for creative time alone, or chip in with friends for co-working or meetings...

The cosy Beech Hut cabin at The Beacon is available to rent by the day or half day as a creative
workspace for up to 5 people.

Bring your sketchbook / journal / laptop / reading material etc and let your creativity flow in our
beautiful cabin with green garden views.

What’s Included:
- Exclusive use of the open plan living space, WC and balcony
- Tea / coffee, milk and sugar
- Use of kettle, microwave and fridge
- Use of log burner & one basket of logs
- Good Wifi
- Bluetooth speaker / radio
- Parking space for one car

8am - 6pm
Half Day £35

Our interactive storytelling night at The Beacon has been an absolute joy everytime we’ve done it.
Our next one is coming up on September 6th.

Each time we do this night out with a twist I see people arrive as strangers and leave as friends, it’s truly heartwarming.

If it’s a clear night we may end up storytelling round the fire again 🔥 🤗

I cannot wait to sing my song "Ode to the OB", commissioned by Hastings Commons, from the front balcony of the Observer Building to a FULL ON light show by the awesome Jonathan Richardson to celebrate the centenary of the OB and the astonishing restoration work that has been done to the building.

I'll be singing my heart out at 9pm on Thursday the 18th July, followed by a live set inside the building with @frankmoonmusic and @thorpeyman afterwards.

Oh yeah...and it'll be my birthday 🥳

After sell out shows at the Stables Theatre last y

After sell out shows at the Stables Theatre last year and a coastal tour, Bev is bringing Ploughing The Salt Sea back to its Hastings roots with some exciting new material as the show continues to evolve through further research and development.

Ploughing The Salt Sea is a solo autobiographical music theatre show, drawing on Bev Lee Harling’s recently discovered rich heritage of centuries old, fishing family roots in Hastings. The narrative, drawn from the suds of the Old Town Wash House, told through the eyes of the overlooked women, seeks to rewrite their stories back into our current consciousness through original and traditional folk song.

Bev shares precious memories, real and imagined which connect through the universal themes of secrecy, loss and finding your own voice.

She tells of a great uncle lost at sea; a dastardly grandfather running amok with the law; the decline in her own mother’s health; a great great grandmother, proprietor of several net huts down on Rock-a-Nore and knitter of their family gansey – a fishermen’s jumper, featuring their unique family motif, beautifully recreated for a new scene in the show by local knitter Helen Jones.
